Career Mentoring

There are two ways to register. Online, by clicking the grey buttons or by mail, by clicking the link below and printing out the form.

SAINT Student Form    SAINT Alumni Mentor Form

SAINT (Students and Alumni IN Touch) is an email driven Career Mentoring Program established at StFX in the late 90’s. The program matches students, who are enrolled in their third and/or fourth year with alumni currently employed in the students chosen field of study. Once matched, the student has an invaluable opportunity to ask questions, seek advice and guidance, glean the expertise of a seasoned professional and acquire knowledge that would otherwise go untapped.  For the Mentor, it is a great way to give back, to make a difference in the life of a student and stay in touch with the pulse of the campus.

STUDENTS - please complete the Student Information Collection Form by clicking on the link above. If you have a resume, please forward that to me as well.  Based on your information, I will ‘match’ you with a best-fit Mentor from my Mentors database.  You will be provided with the Mentor’s e-mail address and it will be up to you to initiate and maintain contact with the Mentor.  If, for whatever reason, your match does not suit you: the Mentor has changed jobs; the Mentor has decided to no longer participate in the program; the Mentor is too busy to participate at the time of your request, etc., - please advise and all efforts will be made to match you with an alternative Mentor.

There will be two one-day on-campus information/sign-up sessions per year – September and January.  Check the for dates and times.  If you have any questions about the program, please feel free to contact me at any time.  Your feedback is important for the success of the program and is always welcome and appreciated.

MENTORS - please complete the Alumni Mentor Information Collection Form by clicking on the link above. Your information will then be put into the database (database access is restricted to the SAINT Coordinator and Alumni Affairs).  When a student requests a Mentor and YOU are the one, I will make every effort to contact you first to ensure your availability. Your feedback is important.  Please contact me at your convenience if you have questions about the program.

To all current Mentors:  THANK YOU for your time, your offer to share your knowledge and give advice.  We need more Mentors so, please spread the word.

Fellow alumni: please consider being a MENTOR to a future X grad.  They are our future and they want to connect with YOU!

Hail and Health !
